Dinner and Drumming!

Every Sunday night under the Hawthorne bridge, Board Member Dale brings food for those that are hungry.

The east side Esplanade is home to the Portland Drum Circle every Sunday night from 8pm-12am and home to a large homeless population. People stop by to get a bite to eat, play or listen to some drums and enjoy the atmosphere. For a lot of people this may be the only hot meal they get this week.

This last Sunday Dale used the food donations from the Zero Waste program to offer a hot bowl of ham and beans, baked chicken, prepared salads and snack foods.

MudBlosm does weekly food donations to several community partners, those struggling with financial insecurity such as low income seniors and people who are unhoused.

  1. Thank you for helping me and many low income people in my apartment complex. Some with large families that spend most of their money on rent. It really made a difference.
