Helping People Weather the Storm!

MudBlosm has been busy tending to those on the streets this weekend who are trying to survive these freezing temperatures. We washed blankets and coats at the laundromat and headed out to the streets. We were able to give warmth, hugs, conversation, and hope. It was a long night out on the streets.

Big thanks to Keyana and Wyatt for helping wash blankets and coats and to Barbie McCormick and Christian Grijalva for going out with us on this below freezing night to hand out blankets, gloves, hand warmers coats, socks, water, and snacks to those who needed it the most!

We are in need of anything that will help out in this cold weather, but especially blankets, coats, hand warmers, gloves, and hats. Please consider donating!!

Thank you Volunteers!

We are so grateful for the volunteers that took the time to help MudBlosm Connections pick up and deliver food to people on Friday, November 10, 2023. We appreciate the love and support of our volunteers and couldn’t do this without them.

MudBlosm delivered over 8,000 pounds of food last month to the homeless, sober living facilities, transitional housing, and families in need.

We are always looking for volunteers as we pick up and deliver food seven days a week.

If you have time to help us help others please email mudblosmconnections@gmail.com or call 503.729.2791.

MudBlosm Connects!

It has been a busy week for the MudBlosm team! Thanks to the Zero Waste program we were able to deliver food to those in need which included low income seniors and Cielo Treatment Center.

According to the USDA more than 34 million people in the US are experiencing food insecurity on a regular basis. With rising food costs, those numbers will keep increasing.

MudBlosm is excited to provide consistent access to food and help end hunger in our community!

We can always use more volunteers and funds to keep this program going. Please contact us or donate today to help us help others.

A cold but happy day at Potluck in the Park!

Last week it was 33 degrees out when we teamed up with Potluck in the Park! We handed out clothing, shoes and hygiene items to over 50 people on January 29, 2023.

Jethro Huff came by and badly needed new shoes, his looked ok except one actually had no sole. We didn’t have shoes in his size but volunteers including Cass Sciangalepore, sprang into action and went shopping to find him a gently used pair of size 13 shoes. His leg was swollen and badly infected, so we were thrilled we could help him with new shoes!

A previous recipient, Juan stopped by to say hello and visit for a while. Another person (not pictured) showed up, freezing and scared about a bad infection in his hand so we took him to the Emergency Department to get treatment.

This is what Mudblosm is about, helping those in need. We are all in this together so be kind whenever you can!

11/27/2022 Sunday afternoon helping people in need

I was invited to Potluck in the Park in downtown Portland to provide shoes, socks, hats, gloves and coats to people in need  while others handed out food. After, we stopped under the Hawthorne bridge to continue our day of handing out needed items to individuals in need. A lot of very thankful people.
